Donations for Wildlife Rangers: DRF Campaign Ad#01/12/24
At this time of year as most are preparing for Christmas celebrations, presents and time with their families, we must also remember those that sacrifice everything to keep us safe and to keep the infrastructure of society secure. What many of us forget is to include those that risk their lives and give up precious personal time to be out in Nature guarding Wildlife and their habitat from illegal activities. Poachers don’t take time off. Rangers out on patrol endure extreme conditions, often lacking in equipment and support. Governments in most African countries are stretched to the limit and depend on NGO’s and Funding Groups to outfit and supply Rangers in the field. Life in the bush is tough enough, without basic equipment to protect them it’s even tougher.
Many items are needed and the DRF is committed to getting these supplies in the hands of those that will benefit most. Currently a request for 26 sleeping bags for the Wildlife Rangers at Mwabvi Wildlife Reserve in Southern Malawi has been made to protect those out in the field from the elements while out on patrols.
